I emailed a business owner that I look up to in the hair industry, and asked her if she would be willing to apprentice someone...she emailed me back this response

"We may be able to work out something, but we are getting ready to move so it would have to be after the move.
Definitely keep bugging me if you are serious."

She is an awesome person anyway, and to learn from her would be fantabulous!! Im not gonna say who or where they are as of yet, because many people on lj know her and her business.

just keep me in your prayers that I will be able to learn the skill from her.

work was good tonight, I didnt get to drive because my boss hasnt gotten my driving record yet :( she wasnt supposed to let me drive last night. so I boxed pizzas for a few hours, just until the dinner rush was over, then i got sent home. I have tomorrow off, then work wed-sat and poss sunday.

We finally got our nail kits in at school *yay* we did manicures today, and I have a fairly nice polish job that stayed on pretty well during work. We should start learning how to do gels and/or acrylics this week. We also start pedicures, which Im not looking forward to...I dont mind giving them, but we have to get one and I really dont like being touched, especially my feet, they're very sensitive. I hope the person who does mine is super fast.

our ratties are sick :( they've got an infection of some sort...Its prolly from their living conditions when we got them. Their cage was disgusting, and looked like it hadnt been cleaned in days. when we brought them home we just dropped them off, and went to petco to get bedding and stuff, when we came back the house reeked of rat ickieness even tho the door was closed in the room that they were in :S I gave them baths and jason washed out their cage, and filled it with bedding and stuff. Anyway, we called the vet and she's gonna give us some antibiotic, cause Hermione's eye is red, and Ginny's nose is running, and theyre both sneezing. :( poor ratties.

I went to dominos for orientation today, and I just thought it would be the same old-same old 'read the policy and procedures manual understand osha and msds...' but after that they put me to work :) I put in a full 8 hour day today (including orientation) I went on a bunch of deliveries with one of the other drivers, and was let go to do a few of my own after that. I only got 4 in before 10pm, but I got $7 and some cents worth of tips, and $3 and some for mileage. One delivery was at the college, and I didnt expect a tip from them.

Im gonna go back tomorrow at 5, so Ill prolly be able to drive the dinner rush :) even if I work a few hours I should be able to get a bunch of tips +mileage. I only get paid min wage, but I get to keep all tips and I get $.80 per delivery for milage which is way more than what gas costs.

alrighty...its late, and I need to get up early for school...

we got some ratties. One of Jasons moms coworkers father needed to get rid of them after his divorce and we took them :) black and white hooded rats. their names are Hermione II and Ginny :)


school is going good, Im doing well in everything.

I got a job at dominos delivering pizza, I have orientation at 2pm today

and I changed my background to reflect the season :)

If any of you read my Husbands journal you know by now that he lost his job yesterday. I am not employed so that leaves us in a bind. He went and applied for unemployment today, and we should get the first check in about 3 weeks which should total about $650. Now all we gotta do is convince the electric company and the cable company to wait untill the check comes....
I start school on Monday, and I still need to get some shoes. I feel so bad, I have a ton of shoes, but no all black ones that I can wear and stand up in all day, and Jason has needed shoes for quite some time now. I think for now Im gonna buy some cheapie $5 shoes at wal-hell and when i get my first loan check buy both of us a pair of good shoes.


Vacation went very well, we had a great time, and discoverd some new places. We drove a little ways up the Washington Penninsula, and we definitly want to go back again.

I got a call from work this am...My client cancelled and they dont have another one for me. Which is good, and bad. I really need to work on the house, and do some gardening. but I hate missing so many hours from my paycheck. OH well, at least there will be a clean house for Jason when he comes home from work. I really need to defrost the freezer too....ICK. Our fridge is like 40 years old, and its very green. It doesnt work too well in the freezing dept, we never have firm ice cream, but it all works out ok i guess.



My cats are so weird..They walk into the room and sit right beside me, and stare up at me like theres something growing out of my head. I try to shoo them away but they just come back..


enough rambling...On to house work!

It's been so long since I've posted a "REAL" entry in my journal. I really haven't had much time. I started working back in march, and I thought it would be part time...but they were working me like 43-48 hours a week, which was great, but I wasn't able to do anything for myself. Anyway, I laid down the law, and Told them that I would only work 8-3 mon-fri and whatever hours they wanted me to work on sat(which is usually 9-4). They were a little disappointed that one of the lemmings decided to do their own thing :P But they gave me the hours without any begging :)

I'm gonna start school again in the fall (I think). This will just be a fun thing for me tho...nothing that will help me with my Social work major. Im gonna get an AA in digital arts, so maybe I can help out my hubby with the website and stuff, and also do some part-time design stuff on my own :D I've played around enough in psp7 and photoshop that I've decided I should actually learn how to run the programs properly :D


Jason and I are still looking into the foster-parent thing. We found a new agency that seems better for us. This agency works with DSHS (Department of Social and Health Services), to place children in homes. We actually will get to choose what kinds of fostering we will do too. Im leaning to foster/adoption. I've always wanted to adopt, and I just realized that it doesn't have to be after I have biological children. MOre than anything I want a large family, I don't care if THe kids come from my womb or not.

Well I spose I'd better start getting ready for work...

First day of my new job is today :D Ive got a ton of stuff to do this am. Gotta go get fingerprinted, take a drug test, and then do a bunch of new hire paperwork, all before my shift starts.


Jason feels better today. He slept better last night then he has all week, so maybe he didnt have a full blown migraine, maybe it was just stress.

Alrighty...so I had a job interview at 1230 today, with the company that i quit at in november. The reason why I quit was that they didnt pay me on time, and they lied to me...now I know what y'all are thinking...why in the world would you wanna go back to work for someone like that?!?!?

Well my silli reasons are that they pretty much got all new management, and the ppl with whom i was having problems are now seeking employment elswhere.

OK now for better stuff (i hope) I have another interview tomorrow (the one I posted the cept for) This job is for a social worker position with the local area agency on aging. Which is totally full time, with bennies and all. ~*happydancehappydance*~.

well, lets see....I got a new job, then I quit the job because my bosses were idiots. Midterms were this week, I guess im doing ok, but my schools website wont let me login. We are trying to have a baby, but no luck so far, its kinda hard to make a kid when you dont ovulate.
other than all this everything is peachy

LCSC is a lot more intense than WWCC. I Have so much homework its crazy, but it keeps me out of trouble. I just started a new job this month. I work now with people who have developmental disabilities. Its a great job, and I have quite a bit of experience with it. Also it falls under the social work category, so it may help me when its time for my internship.
Being married is great, but tough, as life in general is. We have our ups and downs, but what kind of a relationship would we have if it were all a bowl of cherries? We have also decided to have a baby. so pray that we are successful.

Nothing spectacular has happened since my last post...oh except for the fact that I got sacked at sears. Actually it wasn't a proper sacking, just a lay-off. But I'm still out a job. I'm not that upset tho, it wasn't that great of a job, and I'm starting school in a few weeks anyway, so, hopefully I will be able to get a job at the school ( http://www.lcsc.edu ).

So here I am at lousy Sears, waiting for 6:00 to come creeping by. I'm so irritated here. I attempted to get a position on the sales floor, everyone ok'd it but the stores general manager. so here I am working my piddly little job where This week and next week I get a few more hours (just because someone went on vacay) untill they come back and give me my piddly one six-hour day a week- poo! I am looking for other jobs, but the market is soooo bad right now, that the only thing I can find that I am qualified to do is work as a deli clerk in a grocery store. And get this, I will be making way more money there than I am at sears. Maybe smelling like fried chicken every evening isnt such a bad thing....the smell of money perhaps? (Thats what they say about potlatch anyhow, but I'd take fried chicken over potlatch any day).
I know I know im griping, but Its so hard not to. I'll be happier when school starts and I get back into my studies...I can almost feel that degree.
