I cant believe i forgot to post about this...
I withdrew from school :( Since Jason is working again, and we are making more money, I loose my pell grant. I still have a few months left of it, but the way the school works I would have to go another five months before quitting, otherwise I would owe the school a ton of money and not be able to get more financial aid untill that was paid off. anyway...Ill go back when he gets a better job and we can afford it :)

Corey(sxe_yeti_sxe) came in today to get a haircut, and I got to do it! I did ok, i think, but I got his front part a little short. I underestimated how much it would spring up :S I hope hes not mad. Anyway That made my day go pretty well :)
Jason and I were watching American Idol lastnight, and we made an agreement that If I took sining lessons at LCSC then he would try out for Idol : )
I want to get classically trained, I think it would be fun :)
I got my grades for the last month I was at school, and my average is a 96 i think :) Everything is going pretty well.

did my first haircut today, on jason...it looks pretty good if i say so myself...but i didnt do it all on my own, my instructor helped me. I have for tomorrow, a spiral perm, haircut, and acrylic nails...all on one lady. It will prolly take me all day.
I went to the chiropractor again today (i went yesterday too) I feel so much better, ive got a little headache from when he cracked my neck, but i feel better. I didnt have any probs with my back hurting today, only my feet hurt :) the doc said also that I have great abdominal muscles. He said I do better sit-ups then some of his 90lb people. I was gonna say something smart like, 'I should have strong muscles I lift more weight everyday then they do in the gym' but i didnt.
you guys like my icons?? you can steal the holiday ones if you like :)

I cant believe that Ive been in beauty school for almost 3 months now, and I cant beleive that I was complaining about fingerwaves. I really like doing fingerwaves, actually, I like doing just about everything there. haircutting still makes me a bit nervous tho. We have only had the opportunity to do 4 or 5 of them, and those were on mannekin dolls. Monday we start our 300 hour test, and when we pass the written and practical parts, we get to move onto the floor and start working on real people. Jason gets to be my first victim :) He's getting a haircut first thing on wednesday morning. Im confident about his cut, and in doing bobs/undercuts, but the rest of the cuts ,im a little iffy on.

my class is now down to 17 students. When we started we had 23 students. :( Two more girls left this week, and they were super cool. Danniell (sp?) and Jamers were some super duper chicks. They are going to seattle i guess, thats what i heard anyway. Im really bummed out, cause they made class so fun, and I loved the randomness they brought in. They brought phrases into my vocabulary like 'golden', 'sweet meat', and the like. I hope they do well in Seattle or where ever they end up, and I hope to meet them again some day.

work was good tonight, I didnt get to drive because my boss hasnt gotten my driving record yet :( she wasnt supposed to let me drive last night. so I boxed pizzas for a few hours, just until the dinner rush was over, then i got sent home. I have tomorrow off, then work wed-sat and poss sunday.
We finally got our nail kits in at school *yay* we did manicures today, and I have a fairly nice polish job that stayed on pretty well during work. We should start learning how to do gels and/or acrylics this week. We also start pedicures, which Im not looking forward to...I dont mind giving them, but we have to get one and I really dont like being touched, especially my feet, they're very sensitive. I hope the person who does mine is super fast.
our ratties are sick :( they've got an infection of some sort...Its prolly from their living conditions when we got them. Their cage was disgusting, and looked like it hadnt been cleaned in days. when we brought them home we just dropped them off, and went to petco to get bedding and stuff, when we came back the house reeked of rat ickieness even tho the door was closed in the room that they were in :S I gave them baths and jason washed out their cage, and filled it with bedding and stuff. Anyway, we called the vet and she's gonna give us some antibiotic, cause Hermione's eye is red, and Ginny's nose is running, and theyre both sneezing. :( poor ratties.

im so tired... Last time i went to see the doctor he said I was anemic, well im trying my hardest to get my iron back up without going out and buying iron pills (blech!), but i dont know if its working or not. IM taking prenatal vitamins which have a ton of good stuff in them, but maybe not enough to make me feel better. I went to bed last night at 7:30, I woke up at 4am, cause i had heartburn, which was my fault because I didnt take my pills last night :(
Yesterday I went to one of the Chiropractors in town, to get a rate quote, and found out its only about $65 for the first visit, and $35 for every visit thereafter...So I made an appointment for the first of the month! Ive needed to go for about 2 years now, Ill be in a lot less pain when i get done. I may be able to stand more at school when i get cracked too. :)
Anyway...enough complaining.
School is not as tedious as before. I still have to do fingerwaves, but I have to do other things too. Im supposed to do at least one of each skill daily that we've learned so far. (Ive not been doing that tho.). We've learned how to do braids, fingerwaves, shampoo-sets, perms, and weaves. We havent learned how to use chemicals yet, so when we do perms and weaves, we dont put any solution on the perm, and we use gel to show where we would put the color on a weave. I've got perms down to an hour, which is really good considering Ive only done about 5 so far. When we take our exam we have an hour and a half to finish it, so Im set.
Jason still hasnt found a job yet, but we are getting unemployment. Our rent is almost caught up, we still owe $450 for this month. We get $190 a week, plus my financial aid which is about $600 a month, So we are getting just about the same income as we had when Jason was working. I get $1200 in November, so we can do some Christmas shopping and pay a few more bills.
I think we are going to Green Bluff this weekend to pick apples, but Im not sure. If we do I get to stop by Doctored Locks in Spokane (http://www.drlocks.net/salon.htm) and pick out the hair im gonna get. Im getting Latch-hook extensions near the end of November.

Im soooo glad its Friday. This week seemed to drag on and on. It was a good week tho. We learned how to do perms, and weaves. My hands hurt from doing so many perms, but they'll get stronger soon. I thought I would get a poor grade for this week, because I missed all the stuf last week when I was sick, but I found out today that I got 100% for all my work, I did extra credit, and that helped a lot. I also got a 100%, and a 98% on my two tests today. I found out how much financial aid Im getting as well. Its a pretty good amount, and Ill be getting twice as much in November for Christmas. MY back is feeling somewhat better too, Im getting stronger in my shoulders and sides from having my arms in the air all day.
Yesterday we had our second 40 days of purpose meeting. They are going so well, and
jasonhackwith and I are learning so much. Im also reading a book called Gods smuggler by Brother Andrew. Its a fantastic book that I reccomend to everyone. Its so encouraging, especially in our situation.
God is providing for us in so many ways. We dont have any extras at the moment, but all our needs are taken care of, and we are comfortable. We are not nearly as stressed as we were when
jasonhackwith was working.

well i got really tired really fast today. I left school at noon to come home. Im gonna try to get as much sleep as I can tonight so I can do the whole day tomorrow. I cant miss anymore days. I need to have perfect attendance until december (when we get out of basic training), because theres a rule that if you miss so many hours you will be asked to leave and come back when the next class starts...I so dont wanna do that :(
Im teaching Jason how to play backgammon, its one of my favorite games. We played a few times, he won once, I won twice. then I kicked his butt in chess. We used to play games all the time, we need to stop watching tv, and using the internet, so we can have more 'quality' time :)
alright...off to finish my homework...we may or may not have a quiz this week, so i gotta read.

just so you know, this is what a finger wave looks like....Its supposedly the 'ultimate test' of a hairdresser. If you can make a hairstyle using only your hands, a comb and gel, no clips or anything, then youre a hairdresser...whatever

This is the most tedious hairstyle EVAR!!!! I begged to go back to braids today. Oh well, at least its not a popular style and we wont ever have to do it on a real person.
gotta go do homework now...

Man...this beautyschool thing is quite tedious....and its only the first day. I 'learned' how to do 4 different parts today... Its not the learning how to do it that bugged me. The part that bugged me is that we had to do each part like 70 times... and then after we had perfected the part, we had contests to see who could get it done the fastest. Oddly enough I was faster on the more difficult parts. For the life of me I cant get a simple part down the middle of a head straight, you know like the one you would use if you were wearing pigtails? Anyway, tomorrow we 'learn' to french braid. I wish we could skip the stuff we already know, but there are certain requierments for the state certifications.

If any of you read my Husbands journal you know by now that he lost his job yesterday. I am not employed so that leaves us in a bind. He went and applied for unemployment today, and we should get the first check in about 3 weeks which should total about $650. Now all we gotta do is convince the electric company and the cable company to wait untill the check comes....
I start school on Monday, and I still need to get some shoes. I feel so bad, I have a ton of shoes, but no all black ones that I can wear and stand up in all day, and Jason has needed shoes for quite some time now. I think for now Im gonna buy some cheapie $5 shoes at wal-hell and when i get my first loan check buy both of us a pair of good shoes.
Vacation went very well, we had a great time, and discoverd some new places. We drove a little ways up the Washington Penninsula, and we definitly want to go back again.
So I have a ton of pics from our vacation, I pared it down to about 35 that I will share with you guys. Most of the pics are around 400x335 pixels. so If you have dial-up or whatever dont click on the cut. If you really wanna see the pics beg and i will let you have the password for my photobucket account.

I've decided to go to cosmetology school. I started the paperwork today. School starts on the 20th. :) Itll take me 14 months give or take. My financial aid is messed up tho, THe FA officer said that i would only be getting like $800 in pell grants, which totally sucks and doesnt make sense. Im hoping I messed up with my fafsa, and when she goes over my tax stuff she will see that Ill get more. Ive never had that little in pells before. even last year, and I worked way more last year. :( poo. If I get all the grants I need then I should get about $600 residual a month, that would make me Über happy.
well, lets see....I got a new job, then I quit the job because my bosses were idiots. Midterms were this week, I guess im doing ok, but my schools website wont let me login. We are trying to have a baby, but no luck so far, its kinda hard to make a kid when you dont ovulate.

LCSC is a lot more intense than WWCC. I Have so much homework its crazy, but it keeps me out of trouble. I just started a new job this month. I work now with people who have developmental disabilities. Its a great job, and I have quite a bit of experience with it. Also it falls under the social work category, so it may help me when its time for my internship.
Being married is great, but tough, as life in general is. We have our ups and downs, but what kind of a relationship would we have if it were all a bowl of cherries? We have also decided to have a baby. so pray that we are successful.

Nothing spectacular has happened since my last post...oh except for the fact that I got sacked at sears. Actually it wasn't a proper sacking, just a lay-off. But I'm still out a job. I'm not that upset tho, it wasn't that great of a job, and I'm starting school in a few weeks anyway, so, hopefully I will be able to get a job at the school ( http://www.lcsc.edu ).

So here I am at lousy Sears, waiting for 6:00 to come creeping by. I'm so irritated here. I attempted to get a position on the sales floor, everyone ok'd it but the stores general manager. so here I am working my piddly little job where This week and next week I get a few more hours (just because someone went on vacay) untill they come back and give me my piddly one six-hour day a week- poo! I am looking for other jobs, but the market is soooo bad right now, that the only thing I can find that I am qualified to do is work as a deli clerk in a grocery store. And get this, I will be making way more money there than I am at sears. Maybe smelling like fried chicken every evening isnt such a bad thing....the smell of money perhaps? (Thats what they say about potlatch anyhow, but I'd take fried chicken over potlatch any day).
I know I know im griping, but Its so hard not to. I'll be happier when school starts and I get back into my studies...I can almost feel that degree.
