I posted on how jason gave me my gift yesterday, but i decided to also post the clues that led up to it.
at lunch he gave me a card, and inside was a piece of paper saying
"Seven heart and seven clues,
And all of them are yours.
Don't bother going out to look;
I kept them all indoors!
Now for clue one! Don't you forget:
The first heart is for the day we met.
Just think a bit and you'll do fine:
A heart right over where I had mine.
Not sure? Well, then. I'll make it fair:
This heart rests in something I wear."
I had a little problem figuring this out, cause i thought there was a heart from that day somewhere. but , then I thought of the shirt he was wearing that day. Its a plaid button down shirt with a chest pocket. So i went to the closet and there was a little heart shaped box of chocolates in the pocket. Inside was the next clue
"Good job! You found the second clue.
And now see where I'm leading you:
the second heart is for the way
I had to see you every day.
We talked for hours, you and me
On every subject in eternity.
The second heart you'll surely find:
Think hard, I wore it all the time.
My favorite way to cover my brain
It keeps me dry when in the rain."
I figured it was a hat or something like that, but i couldnt think of which one. Actually the only one i was thinking of was this fishing hat (which I really dont like), but I knew that wasnt it. Then I remembered; he has a Mariners bucket hat that he always wears...I couldnt believe that I didnt think of that right away. So I went back into the closet, and found the hat. Under it was another small box of chocolates, with this note:
"Clue three is a fun one, Oy!
The third heart is the heart of joy.
This heart is for all the happy times
We've shared, the laughs and giggle times
And yes, for all the tickles too:
This heart is for the silly you.
Laughter like apples, keeps you fed;
Heart three is buried in apples red."
Our kitchen is decorated in apples, and on our bakers rack I have a basket of fake red apples. I was a little unsure of whether or not they would be there, cause they looked undisturbed. Jason did a very good job in re-arranging the apples so I wouldnt notice right off. Under the apples was the third small box of chocolates with yet another clue.
"Clue four won't be so easy, cause
Heart four is for the test of love.
We had out times when we would fight
And nothing seemed to be going right.
Somehow, we've always made it through:
Why? 'cause you love me and I love you.
The rose is treasured in spite of thorns,
Sweet fragrance is our blood's reward.
Heart number four Im sure you'll find
Behind white roses intertwined."
I still have the flowers from our wedding, and there an fourth small box was with yet another note behind them.
"The fifth heart is the heart that races,
The heart of love's midnight embraces:
Sweet picnics past, remembered sweetly:
The food of love (sometimes discreetly)
This heart is that which makes us one,
(this heart is a lot of fun!)
You'll find this heart under my head,
Not under a pillow, nor under the bed."
This is the one that I couldnt find without help. I looked between the mattresses, but I got tripped up by the phrase "you'll find this heart under my head". I kept thinking literally under where he rests his head. but it didnt make sense because it wasnt under the pillow or the bed. He helped me on this one, and it was between the wall and the mattress. This time it was a medium heart shaped box of candy, again with another clue.
"Heart number six is for the day
Two hearts were joined at the end of May,
In three short months it will be twice,
(Two years, my love, to be precise)
Since we united three strong cords
And placed our hearts under the Lord's
You'll find this heart if you look once more
Near Ecclesiastes chapter four."
We had a banner at our wedding with this verse on it: "A cord of three strands is not easily broken" found in ecclesiastes 4:12. Under it was the last box of chocolates, the biggest heart yet. and inside the last note.
"And now, heart seven. I'm sure you know
This heart full well; its no John Doe.
This heart is yours, till death us part;
And if bright angels share a heart,
This heart will still be yours to hold,
Brighter than blues among the gold.
Not sure where this heart may be found?
Look up once more. Not near the ground;
Nor way up high. 'Tis strong and true:
This heart is looking right at you."
Obviously this heart was Jasons, and after some words he handed me the ring. These notes I will cherish forever, as well as the memories that make up these past four years.
On the 19th of this month we will have been together four years. Its been a wonderful four years, and I hope the next 40 are just as wonderful.

Jason was gonna take me to dinner tonight, but we decided on lunch instead. we went to zany's, he had a burger, and i had the crab croissant. he gave me the first of my gifts there, a card with a little riddle in it. He had a scavenger hunt ready for me. 7 clues that lead to the big present. the first clue was with the card, in the shape of a heart, the second thru sixth clues were in heart shaped boxes of chocolates, 3 small boxes, 1 med box, and 1 large box. the seventh clue led to him with a little black velvet box with a pretty sapphire ring :) three marquise stones with four diamond baguettes separating the stones. its very pretty, and i love it. I took a couple of pics, but they didnt turn out very well, but you can get the idea...

did my first haircut today, on jason...it looks pretty good if i say so myself...but i didnt do it all on my own, my instructor helped me. I have for tomorrow, a spiral perm, haircut, and acrylic nails...all on one lady. It will prolly take me all day.
I went to the chiropractor again today (i went yesterday too) I feel so much better, ive got a little headache from when he cracked my neck, but i feel better. I didnt have any probs with my back hurting today, only my feet hurt :) the doc said also that I have great abdominal muscles. He said I do better sit-ups then some of his 90lb people. I was gonna say something smart like, 'I should have strong muscles I lift more weight everyday then they do in the gym' but i didnt.
you guys like my icons?? you can steal the holiday ones if you like :)

have fun!
have fun!
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
